I'm not precisely complaining about slut shaming, this time, but... there's a definite double standard here. Yes, I get that Minthe is doing some amount of making deliberate choices while Persephone largely can't control her powers, but in terms of damage done, Minthe is primarily hurting herself and Hades with some backsplash onto Persephone. And Hades really clearly is doing his best to get out of this without actually damaging Minthe.

But at some point, Persephone being unable to control her powers in such a way that it keeps damaging the people around her really does need to be dealt with. We found out she murdered a bunch of people and the main focus was on how traumatic it was for her. She turned Minthe into a plant and the main focus remains on how traumatic it is for her.

At some point the narrative needs to acknowledge that whatever her intent she is doing a lot of physical damage to actual people.

And if you want to handle this with "Oh, well, they're Olympians" that applies to everyone else in the comic including those whose much less severe behavior is being condemned by the narrative.

(Hecate and Eros-- the only two stable, emotionally mature people in the entire comic-- remain my favorite characters.)
