CALLED IT!  To be fair, it was pretty heavily telegraphed last week; I would be surprised if the majority of the audience didn't see that one coming. And I only got it half-right; I assumed Annabelle's plan was that releasing them across the worlds wouldn't result in leaving this one and this would end with them tricked into dooming the whole multiverse. (And I am assuming Annabelle was telling the truth about her plan, but Jon seemed to be able to confirm that it works like she says it does independently, and the Eye doesn't, so far as we know, have the presence of mind to be able to cause Jon to Know false information.)

We're close to the end. So much terror is upon us. And yet I kept having to pause until I stopped laughing for the majority of Martin and Annabelle's conversation. Martin plays the exasperated straight man very well and Annabelle is just like "But... I LIKE being mysterious!"

Also "This is where you get skeptical?" Like, yes, given everything you've seen, Basira, THIS is the thing you choose to question?

My questions about the stalker tape recorders versus Gertrude's tape recorders remain. The Web's been planning for a really long time, well before Jonah Magnus existed, so it's entirely possible all the tape recorders have always been the Web's, but that begs the question of whether recording even offers an increase in Eye powers-- because we know Gertrude recorded lot of tapes but we also know she wasn't as powerful as Jon. So what did increase Jon's powers if it wasn't recording? (Gertrude wasn't physically dependent on statements, either. And we know that comes from the Eye. We also know from the Q&As that to really become a full-blown Avatar you have to consent-- though often the choice winds up being "consent or die." So is the difference between Jon and Gertrude just that Jon chose to wake up from his coma and that has nothing else to do with it?)

Given the Web having much more consciousness and also the prior claim to Jon being much stronger than we previously realized, any instance of Jon being actively directed needs to be reevaluated, although if the Web was trying to direct Jon away from Eric Delano's statement that argues either that it knew Jonah was going to do the thing eventually and didn't want to risk not having someone it could control being the lead on that, or that it's not being entirely honest about its motives and was hoping the world would end so it could have the excuse to go terrorize the entire multiverse.
